When I first met Matt, I was looking for someone who could replace my rotting deck with a concrete patio. I knew that I wanted a wheelchair ramp built into it to accommodate a dear family member. And our house is built into a hill. The elevation drops more than 4 ft from the back door to the bottom step of the front porch. The MJG Concrete and Landscaping web site convinced me that MJG was up to the technical challenge. I also wanted a concrete foundation placed to help provide a proper back entry into the house, a project we will tackle next year. From our talks I felt I could lean on them to provide design expertise. Matt noticed our driveway, which we share with a neighbor. It was a collapsing blacktop affair with potholes, ripe for replacement. Our neighbor was willing, but we didn’t think we could afford it on our budget. Matt found economies in the larger job that combined the driveway, some work my neighbor wanted done, the entry foundation, and our patio. Among the three of us, we designed a wonderful place for summer parties and shady evenings, ready for the next 30 years. Matt brokered a deal with the neighbor for us. Their expertise for the whole job was irreplaceable.MJG’s work was magnificent. Their workers are professional. They put in a full day’s work, maneuvering big machinery in small spaces, working in the rain, working in the hot summer sun, setting forms, pouring and finishing concrete. They try to work one project at a time. Rain delays plagued us early, but when the weather smiled on us, they were out working. I can’t say enough about their consistency in a world full of contractors who are on the job some days and vanish without a word on others.I can’t give a high enough recommendation for MJG Concrete and Landscaping.Sincerely,David Chmielewski
